The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in Canada is designed for workers who possess the skills, education, and work experience necessary to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory, and who wish to live and become permanent residents in that province or territory. Each province and territory has its own unique "streams" or immigration programs targeting specific groups such as students, business people, skilled workers, and semi-skilled workers.
The application process for PNPs varies depending on the chosen stream. There are two main pathways which is Express Entry, and Non-Express Entry.
Each Canadian province and territory offers its own PNP programs, except for Nunavut and Quebec, which have different immigration programs. The selection of a province or territory is a crucial step in the PNP process, as each region has its own criteria and targeted sectors.
